Hi everyone, one question if anybody knows? My 645CI SMG after it gets warm, at a stop gets confused and falls out of gear and won't go back in 1st but only switches between 1st and 2nd gear and it also won't go in the R. After 20 min or so it's all back to normal. I've changed shift sensor and selection sensor because my car would't go in 2nd, 4th and 6th gear. That's when I started having problems with my smg, but after that this temperature problem occurred. Is it because the hydraulic unit can't hold pressure? The Clutch position sensor or actuator slave cylinder? Leak somewhere? Adaptation on a cold trans? Help please.

I have the same issue in my 645ci convertible.. Is the Crankshaft sensor.. Need yo remplace it

Got this message twice in 2 months but nothing happens and it runs fine, I'm taking it to BMW service center and seeing what they say. its a BMW 2006 m6

hi happen to me also, i just disconnect the battery both cables leave it for 10 minutes after reconnection back the battery, and your transmission back to normal

I got a F481 on my 550i is that low transmission fluid?

Where is the plastic part ?

If the transmission fault stays on, Use your car scanner to erase all the code, than turn the car off than startit up again , it will take the transmission fault off.

Problem in contlol or sensor

Okay , everyone , here is how you do a quick fix with the Transmission issue. This happens to me all the time. Bummer most of the time going 75mpg on the freeway and this transmission issue comes up. Here is the fast fix not permanent. Pull to the side of the road as quick as you can. Turn your hazards on. Put the car in park. Turn off the motor. While the motor is off. Put your foot all the way down on the gas pedal NOT the break pedal. While your foot has the gas pedal all the way to the floor turn the key on all the way to start keep it there don't move your foot or the key leave it all the way on for 90 seconds , its going to seem like a long long time. Once 90 seconds is up. Turn the key in the off position and then start your car and go. Good luck

Could be a battery issue, you had lots of errors there. Man some people need to grow up his accent is not his fault. He meant gearbox we all know that

There are two plastic parts he’s referring to, Mechatronic seal (round shape)and Mechatronic seal adaptor (rectangular with two holes).

My car BMW E90 320 i,has the same problem of displaying that gearbox warning light about 40 seconds and my really stress up.. can i be worried and how can i get help?

Hello, by any chance you know a part number or a link to a website to get an input speed sensor for a BMW 750I 2009. plan to do some DIY on the transmission but i recently got an error about " Transmission Fault Code: 400626 - Turbine speed sensor short circuit to ground or open circuit"

If yellow dash light (no service engine) could just be fluid if stuck in gear or more likely whole computer unit for transmission?

Transmition joistik it cost's about 50-70 eur. :)
